Well we had our first Veterans Dinner on the 18th of Oct., Thurs. night at 6pm. It was a very successful turn out. All who attended were received by the Legion Rider volunteers, and served with pride and dignity. The feed back is still coming in at the Post, and all are saying Thank You , and looking forward to next months dinner. I would say that with all volunteers, and Veterans and payees who attended, that we fed approximately 58. We collected donations, and $95.00 in dinner pay. The dinner began at 6pm, and all were fed, and the kitchen and hall was cleaned up by 7:30pm. Here are a couple pics I took at the dinner, 1) The Dining Room  2) The Commander John Weatherby in Red shirt enjoying the camaraderie. Thanks Bob

On August 4, 2007, all met at the American Legion Post #1 in Rockland on Saturday at 8:30 A.M. to gather for the local Lobster Festival Parade's 60th year celebration. The American Legion Riders grouped up in force about 20 motorcycles and riders showed up for the event. Our Director, Bob Doyle, led the riders down main street in Rockland, as the American Legion color guard and Auxiliary VanGuard color guard led the way.  After the parade all the riders cooled off their Motorcycles with a short ride back to the American Legion Post #1 where the riders had a Motorcycle show and Antique Car show to raise funds for the Legacy Scholarship Fund.  There were trophies awarded for First Place, Second Place, and Third Place. We also had a 50/50 raffle.

The day was filled with fun for all. Especially our honored guests, the crew members of the USS NASSAU.
