On August 4, 2007, all met at the American Legion Post #1 in Rockland on Saturday at 8:30 A.M. to gather for the local Lobster Festival Parade's 60th year celebration. The American Legion Riders grouped up in force about 20 motorcycles and riders showed up for the event. Our Director, Bob Doyle, led the riders down main street in Rockland, as the American Legion color guard and Auxiliary VanGuard color guard led the way. After the parade all the riders cooled off their Motorcycles with a short ride back to the American Legion Post #1 where the riders had a Motorcycle show and Antique Car show to raise funds for the Legacy Scholarship Fund. There were trophies awarded for First Place, Second Place, and Third Place. We also had a 50/50 raffle. The day was filled with fun for all. Especially our honored guests, the crew members of the USS NASSAU.
